Netfabb is a well-known cloud based .STL file repair service supplier, most 3D printing enthusiasts round the globe have used Netfabb’s cloud based .STL file repair service, a minimum of once. Last weekday Netfabb, proclaimed that it’s partnered up with Microsoft to host the cloud service on Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing platform.

The new service is termed Microsoft Model Repair, and uses Netfabb’s cloud based file repair service technology at its core to produce a more powerful and economical mesh fixer which will scale as its popularity continues to grow.
The Microsoft Model Repair Service will import and export files on variety of 3D formats together with STL, OBJ, 3MF et al. The server code evaluates incoming files for errors and determines main properties of the files. rather than every model being issued a separate transfer key like before, Microsoft Model Repair uses your Microsoft Account credentials to firmly store your fastened files. This greatly cuts down on the time it takes to urge the file back to you once repair too, and users can notice a rise in speed with most repairs taking simply seconds.
